You don’t need a new boat to feel like a new captain. This weekend plan focuses on repeatable drills and two targeted upgrades that reduce cross-wind surprises.

Practice approach in light crosswind
Practice in light wind first, then add variables.

The 3-drill plan

  • Approach control: 3 knots, helm corrections early
  • Spring line stop: tie off midships; barely touch the throttle
  • Abort & reset: normalize the wave-off

Two upgrades that matter

  1. Midship cleats (or relocation) to make spring line control easy
  2. High-grip fenders & lines (correct size) to cut bounce on contact

Financing note: many accessories and small installs qualify under program rules. Ask us what’s eligible.
